If you are interested in solar, reach out to Jordan Energy for an initial discussion. At no cost to you, they will assess your current energy usage and recommend the perfect solar system for your needs.
Federal incentives, state policies, and rising energy prices make solar an attractive proposition. Reviewing your previous 12-months of energy bills will allow Jordan Energy to design a solar system that maximizes the economic benefit to your dairy.
Once you are ready to move forward, they handle all permitting, utility interconnection, construction and regulatory approvals. Real-time monitoring and maintenance support will continue for the life of the system. Your dairy will have officially gone solar!
Technology Strengths,Weaknesses and Critical Indicators
NOTE: There are multiple technologies that that are used as part of integrated manure management systems and yet are not manure management types on their own. The impact of these technologies on their own would be minimal or very difficult to quantify.
General Support & Other:
- Can be an integral part of many manure management systems
- Most projects have at least some equipment that supports operations of the main technology
- This technology is not evaluated on its own, the NEAT Matrix for this technology is neutral unless utilized with other technologies.
The U.S. dairy community is committed to conserving natural resources and making progress to address environmental issues. The industry has set 2050 goals supporting a vision that dairy can be an environmental solution. They have been set in the areas where U.S. dairy can collectively have the greatest impact and where dairy companies and farmers have demonstrated leadership and impact through new technologies and on-farm practices in feed production, cow care, energy efficiency and manure management. This technology is included in the Newtrient Technology Catalog because we feel it can help the U.S. dairy industry to meet the 2050 goals.
Since its formation in 2007, Jordan Energy has developed 65 solar projects totaling 9,991 kilowatts of renewable energy production for dairy and farm producers. Jordan Energy was selected by Dairy Farmers of America’s (DFA) to be a partner in DFA’s Preferred Vendor Network, having been vetted to ensure their values and goals align with DFA’s dairy members’ needs.
Although Jordan Energy has recently been added to the technology catalog, Newtrient been pleased to learn how open and forthcoming they are with cost and performance information. Jordan Energy has expressed interest in providing more information to Newtrient to help inform the dairy industry of the potential for increased and diversified revenue from solar.
