IGS Energy – RNG Project Developer

About the Company:

IGS Energy’s goal is to redefine what it means to be an energy retailer. They are leading a transition to a more sustainable energy future for a healthier planet by empowering home and business customers to source the energy that’s right for them, manage their costs and carbon footprint, and protecting the systems that keep their homes running efficiently.

As a private company that follows the principles of Conscious Capitalism, they prioritize the needs of their customers, employees and the communities where they live and work.

IGS Energy offers sustainable technologies and services, including 100% renewable electricity, carbon-neutral natural gas, solar energy systems for homes and businesses and other energy-efficiency products. They serve as a trusted advisor to more than 1 million customers nationwide, making an ever-changing and complex industry simpler.

Today, the organization is advancing their commitment by developing Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects through dairy anaerobic digesters in the Midwest. The digesters are an innovative solution for managing dairy waste and producing renewable energy.

About the Solution:

IGS Energy’s comprehensive vertically integrated approach to the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) industry means they construct, own, operate, and maintain anaerobic digesters and gas upgrading facilities that supply RNG and they transport the gas to injection facilities that they also own. They also own Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations that range from large-scale, public access to behind-the-fence commercial sites, they are focused on providing a stable, clean, and domestic fueling solution that best fits their customers needs.

As a turnkey solutions provider, IGS Energy also offers a complete line of products and services for your current fleet, or they can help simplify your conversion to CNG with their comprehensive approach.

    Newtrient Comments/Opinions:

IGS Energy has recently been added to the Newtrient catalog. Newtrient will continue to work with IGS Energy to further refine the cost and performance information on their solution. Newtrient will update this entry as more information becomes available and as new commercial dairy installations come online.

IGS Energy is developing AD to RNG facilities at seven dairy locations in the Midwest. They are currently looking for other interested dairy operations that have 2,000-cows or more and that would be interested in working with them in this region.
