Patz Corporation – Manure Handling Equipment

Raise your Standards

About the Company:

It started with a Wisconsin dairy farmer’s dream to “find an easier way,” and over 57 years later, Patz Sales, Inc. is known worldwide in the agricultural industry for high quality manure handling and feed handling equipment.

Patz remains a family owned company with second and third generation family members actively involved in the business. The backbone of the company is its people. Patz credits their employees and dealers as the reason for its success. The 160-member team performs a variety of tasks in the manufacturing plant and administrative office, and includes a core group of in-house engineers. A high percentage of Patz employees have served the company for 25 years or more.

The company that began with one farmer, now has a distribution network of several hundred dealers, distributors, original equipment manufacturers and representatives in the United States and various export markets. Its customer base includes dairy farms, poultry, hog, beef, ostrich, equine and even reindeer farms. As the farming industry has changed, Patz has responded with additional products such as conveyors, material movers, horizontal and vertical mixers, bale choppers, pumps and scrapers to meet the changing needs of its customers. Many products developed for agricultural use have been adapted for the industrial/commercial markets as well.

About the Solution:

Patz is known worldwide for manufacturing rugged and dependable equipment for over 65 years.

Company founder Paul Patz developed products that were originally designed to withstand the daily demands of dairy farming, but Patz’s strong designs and durable construction have made Patz equipment suitable for commercial/industrial use as well.

Patz is known worldwide for material handling equipment: mulching choppers, conveyors, pumps, and vertical compost mixers, and Solid-Liquid Separators. Strong designs and durable construction have made our equipment suitable for commercial use.

Continuing to build on a strong position in both U.S. and world markets, Patz industrial equipment is sold through a network of dealers, distributors, and original equipment manufacturers around the world.

Solution Strengths, Weaknesses and Critical Indicators

NOTE: There are multiple technologies that are used as part of integrated manure management systems and yet are not manure management types on their own. The impact of these technologies on their own would be minimal or very difficult to quantify.

General Support & Other:

  • Can be an integral part of many manure management systems
  • Most projects have at least some equipment that supports operations of the main technology
  • This technology is not evaluated on its own, the NEAT Matrix for this technology is neutral unless utilized with other technologies.

Newtrient Comments/Opinions:
