Renew Energy is an engineering consulting company that has specialized in biogas, bio-refinery, and nutrient recovery solutions for 25 years. Renew provides solutions ranging from small, simple biogas plants to high-technology integrated bio-refineries and has provided services to several biogas plants in the U.S.
They specialize in evaluating and designing systems for the co-digestion of multiple feedstocks and the capture of nutrients, and can provide project feasibility analysis, design and engineering, advisory services, and project financing assistance – or undertake the whole turnkey contract from the beginning to the handover of the plant.
They provide operational support to new and existing plants, contribute to establishing attractive financing of new projects, and make well-documented digestion tests. After the commissioning of the biogas plant, Renew Energy will provide operational support.
Renew Energy is part of a Biogas Alliance led by the Danish Trade Council in North America.
Renew Energy provides engineering and consulting services to all stages of a biogas project. They provide operational support to new and existing biogas plants. In addition, they can be in charge of authority approval work.
Renew Energy can further contribute to establishing attractive financing of new projects.
They make well-documented digestion tests, for instance if a project includes biomasses that are not well known, or an existing biogas plant wants to have biomasses studied. Digestion tests not only determine the biomass composition, but also the biogas potential.
Typically, a biogas project consists of four stages: project development, plant design, plant construction, and commissioning. After commissioning, Renew Energy will provide operational support.
Renew Energy undertakes the whole turnkey contract of the project from the very beginning to the handover of the plant.
Technology Strengths, Weaknesses and Critical Indicators
Anaerobic Digester Associated Technology:
NOTE: There are several technology types that are used as part of an integrated manure management system that includes an anaerobic digester and are not applicable to manure management in other cases. The impact of these technologies on the critical indicators are represented as those of an entire anaerobic digester system.

- Proper feeding & system monitoring is required to avoid system downtime

Renew Energy has not been evaluated using Newtrient's 9-point scoring process because they are just beginning to work on biogas projects in North America at this time and do not currently have any in the dairy sector. Renew Energy is interested in entering U.S. markets and is being assisted by the Danish Trade Council. Newtrient will continue to work with Renew Energy and the Danish Trade Council to provide more information on this company as it becomes available.
