Agricultural Digesters LLC – Anaerobic Digester

INCLUDING SMALLER, AFFORDABLE, MEDIUM SIZE SYSTEMS

About the Company:

Since the success of any digester depends on a farm’s future existence, Agricultural Digesters LLC prioritizes financial benefit to each client. Their business models are “farmer owned” and “partnership” so that farmers receive the financial benefit needed to operate in the future.

Their team consists of marketing, environmental. engineering, finance and farm supply consultants. Regardless how much support is needed, when Agricultural Digesters LLC partners with a farm, it stays with that farm every step of the way.

About the Solution:

Agricultural Digesters LLC can develop biogas projects of all sizes. It specializes in farmer owned, CHP projects on individual medium and large dairy farms.

Agricultural Digesters has also contracted to be the exclusive representative, in Vermont and additional regions, of Biogest Biogas. The advantages of the Agricultural Digesters solution are:

  • A price attractive to farmers and lenders. Usually no need for equity partners.
  • Saves farms tens of thousands of dollars monthly, even while the loan is being repaid.
  • Its investor and lender contacts can provide financial assistance. They are motivated by the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC).
  • Grants from USDA and EQIP funding from NRCS have been obtained by Agricultural Digesters for four of its dairy farm clients and more are expected in the near future.
  • It will monetize environmental benefits for the farm including carbon credits.
  • If electricity sales to the grid bring a low price per kW, these digesters can instead supply the farm’s own power.
  • The farm no longer pays for bedding and in addition has excess solids to sell to other farms as animal bedding, peat replacement, or soil amendment to plant nurseries.
  • Digesting and separation, combined with drag lining and injection, reduces costs, while managing manure and phosphorus runoff.
  • Agricultural Digesters works with GSR Solutions to offer secondary separation of liquid digestate that produces a granular, high phosphorous, organic fertilizer sold online by major retailers nationwide. An additional, future revenue stream for the digester owner.

  • Agricultural Digesters LLC offers its “Watershed Digester” approach that interconnects a variety of known practices (anaerobic digestion, primary solids separation, draglining and injection with secondary liquid separation available from GSR Solutions) for a total solution greater than the sum of its parts. It is ideally suited for dairy regions with serious water quality problems caused in large part by phosphorus runoff from farms.
