Biogasclean – QSR H2S Removal

Biogasclean is specialized in biological desulfurization and methanation of biogas. They develop, manufactures and markets fully automated gas cleaning systems for H2S removal with low operating costs and high availability.
Biogasclean has over 320 plants in operation – or under construction – in 40 countries. The technology supplies clean gas to more than 650 MW gas engines. The technology from Biogasclean is also implemented over 30 gas-upgrading systems for RNG together with Amine up-grading technology.
Biogasclean supplies a full range of biological H2S removal systems; from small gas cleaners to the world's largest biological gas cleaners at ethanol distilleries and paper mills.
The gas cleaners are fully automated and can be designed to handle any flow and H2S content in the raw biogas. Typically, the H2S is reduced to 100-250 ppm, but Biogasclean can reduce the H2S to 10 ppm if required.
The process is 100% biological and operating costs 80-90% lower than chemical gas cleaning systems. The availability is above 98%. The only residue from the process is a valuable liquid fertilizer.
Besides the low operating costs one of the other advantages with the units from Biogasclean is the QSR® - Quick Sludge Removal - system. With this system the packing media can be cleaned without emptying the tank. This will reduce downtime and increase revenues. Due to a regularly QSR cleaning the lifetime of the packing media is expected minimum 20 years.
Biogasclean is part of a Biogas Alliance led by the Danish Trade Council in North America.

Anaerobic Digester Associated Technology:
NOTE: There are several technology types that are used as part of an integrated manure management system that includes an anaerobic digester and are not applicable to manure management in other cases. The impact of these technologies on the critical indicators are represented as those of an entire anaerobic digester system.

Biogasclean has not been evaluated using Newtrient's 9-point scoring process because they do not have an installation on a dairy operation in North America at this time. Biogasclean is entering U.S. markets and is being assisted by the Danish Trade Council. Newtrient will continue to work with Biogasclean and the Danish Trade Council to provide more information of this technology as it becomes available.
