Long Creek Resources, LLC is a Vermont-based company established in 2023 to offer a suite of environmental consulting services rooted in state-of-the-art science and engineering. They have expertise in a variety of areas related to sustainability.
Company Principals Kate Porterfield and Tiffany Chin have worked closely with Long Creek Resources’ President Dr. Roy at UVM, playing lead roles in many research projects. With this shared background they believe high quality environmental consulting and practice requires a foundation of evidence made possible by rigorous research. Long Creek Resources is defined by their complementary skills, common interests and values, shared commitment to high quality work, and team chemistry.
About the Solution:
With their expertise in water, agricultural systems, organics recycling, data analysis, sustainability, and education Long Creek Resources can assist with a wide variety of projects. Examples include quantifying the water quality benefits of wetland restoration, designing & testing green stormwater infrastructure for enhanced phosphorus removal, performance testing of innovative manure management technologies, and clarifying environmental tradeoffs for organics recycling strategies.

NOTE: There are multiple technologies that are used as part of integrated manure management systems and yet are not manure management types on their own. The impact of these technologies on their own would be minimal or very difficult to quantify.
