REV LNG, LLC – Liquefied Natural Gas

Revolutionary LNG

About the Company:

REV LNG, LLC supplies Liquid Natural Gas energy solutions for industries ranging from trucking fleets to power generation, REV LNG customizes an LNG system that suits our clients’ specific needs.

REV LNG, LLC can purchase renewable natural gas produced by anaerobic digesters.  REV LNG can help develop on-farm systems that produce biogas, clean the gas and arrange for injection into natural gas pipelines.  REV LNG uses the RNG to produce renewable LNG to supply customers that desire sustainable green-fuel choices.

REV LNG, LLC strives to provide creative and cost effective solutions for our clients, all while decreasing the carbon footprint of our clients and REV LNG.

About the Solution:

Liquefied natural gas is a purer form of energy than tradition compressed natural gas. The liquefaction process removes impurities in the hydrocarbon molecules, leaving a clean burning form of fuel. REV LNG is a pioneer in small scale LNG liquefaction. We are currently constructing a 50,000 gallon per day production facility in the heart of the Marcellus Shale formation in Towanda, PA. This state of the art facility will be one of the first private LNG plants in the U.S.A. in the last 30 years. Our plant is small modular and fast to market. Its production will supplement our current supply portfolio and provide our clients with the most redundant and flexible fuel service in the industry. We can safely and efficiently deliver within a 700 mile radius of the plant on a daily basis to server our customer base. REV LNG is also looking to partner with existing producers of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) to supply this product to our facility as an alternative for our customers.

Solution Strengths, Weaknesses and Critical Indicators

Anaerobic Digester Associated Technology:

NOTE: There are several technology types that are used as part of an integrated manure management system that includes an anaerobic digester and are not applicable to manure management in other cases. The impact of these technologies on the critical indicators are represented as those of an entire anaerobic digester system.

  • Long usable life and can be run reliably
  • Creates energy and generates environmental credits
  • Requires proper preparation of the feedstock
  • Requires other technologies for energy utilization
  • Requires other technologies for digestate handling
  • Proper feeding & system monitoring is required to avoid system downtime
  • Proven technology for odor control, GHG reduction and pathogen reduction

Newtrient Comments/Opinions:

REV LNG is currently looking to partner with existing Anaerobic Digester operations to convert their systems to produce Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). They do not have any liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities operating on dairies at this time. The structure of the relationship with REV LNG is that they provide the capital and O&M for the Biogas upgrading and interconnection to the pipeline. They have a fleet of transport vehicles available in case there is not a pipeline nearby. They will also consider the installation of entire systems with digester in targeted areas.

REV LNG has not been evaluated for an LNG facility using Newtrient's 9-point scoring process because, although the process and structure of the relationship appears to be suited for use with existing dairy digesters and is currently doing so for RNG projects, Newtrient is not aware of any dairy related LNG projects in North America at this time.
