As the fifth year of the Dairy Soil & Water Regeneration (DSWR) project is nearing completion, data is rolling in, results are being graphed, and analyses are underway. This stage of research is exciting as the outcomes of years of teamwork, problem-solving, and concentrated efforts in the unpredictable environment of row-crop fieldwork are being showcased.
Newtrient COO, Mark Stoermann, joins Settje Agri-Services Engineering to discuss his expertise in anaerobic digestion and the evolution of manure management practices. Mark highlights how the Newtrient team supports farmers in making confident decisions in selecting manure management technologies and practices that best fit their operation.
Newtrient assessed the performance and water quality advantages of utilizing the Aqua Innovations Membrane Nutrient Management system in separating solids and nutrients from the dairy waste stream. This technology utilizes ultrafiltration with reverse osmosis without the use of polymers.
